Patriotic Cake

I am so in love with these two blogs I have found.  They both have amazing ideas and great tutorials.  Recently I found an 4th of July Flag Cake on Glorious Treats and a Patriotic Rose Cake on i am baker.  They are so amazing and I wanted to try them both on the same cake.  Both sites have tutorials on how to accomplish the look, so I will not go into too much detail.  Both blogs are great and they deserve the credit for these amazing ideas.
Here is my attempt at combining the two looks together.

And the inside.  I had my mother take the pictures, since I could not be there when the cake was cut.

I am going to attempt it one more time for a family get together just after the 4th of July.
